Utiq Integration

Contentpass offers direct Utiq integration for consent layers delivered by Contentpass, or via our provided first layer message template when using Sourcepoint.

Launching Utiq requires their approval: Utiq must confirm that all requirements (contracts, etc.) have been met before your property can go live.

Requirements​

To meet Utiq's requirements, you must set up the following in your CMP:

Custom Vendor​

You need to configure a custom vendor for Utiq in your CMP settings.

Custom Purpose​

You need to add a custom purpose in the second layer of your CMP for Utiq.

Users can reject this vendor/purpose; if they do, Utiq won't be used and they can still access your site.

If you use the consent layer provided by Contentpass, setting up Utiq is straightforward.

This integration method works for Consentmanager, Didomi, OneTrust, and Usercentrics.

To enable Utiq integration, configure the following settings in your property settings in the Publisher Dashboard:

1. Add Utiq Vendor to Allowlist​

In Wall Configuration, add the custom Utiq vendor ID to the Allowlist Vendor IDs field.

2. Add Utiq Purpose to Allowlist​

In Wall Configuration, add the custom Utiq purpose ID to the Allowlist Purpose IDs field.

3. Set Utiq Data Controller​

In Wall Configuration, set the Utiq Data Controller field to the Data Controller's name and legal form -- i.e., the legal entity that owns the website as mentioned on the website's Privacy Policy page (e.g., "Example Media GmbH").

4. Enable the Utiq Feature Flag​

Reach out to us to enable the Utiq feature flag for your property.

Sourcepoint Integration​

Due to Sourcepoint's API limitations, we can't render our own layer within Sourcepoint yet. You must use Sourcepoint's rendered layer with our first message template, which includes the Utiq logo, placeholder text, and links to their official requirements.

To find the first layer message template in Sourcepoint, click Start from Template in the message builder and look for "Contentpass with Utiq" under System.

Your Responsibilities​

When using Sourcepoint, you are responsible for:

  • Setting up all texts, custom vendor, and purpose correctly
  • Signing the contract with Utiq before launching
  • Completing Utiq's requirements, such as providing granular choice for Utiq on the second layer, independently

The template includes the Utiq branding and necessary consent flows integrated with the Contentpass signup and login functionality.
